They wont slow you down, and the bolts they use, are made to break upon impact, so you dont tear off your lower unit.
To stop the electrolosys, I heavily painted my skeg, then smeared Black rtv between the skeg, and the guard before installing. |
I have a pair of them that came on my TRS drives when I bought my boat....I removed them fixed existing skegs painted drives and now have 2 skeg guards for sale....$35 each to your door or $60 for the pair to your door....Fred |
