Default 502 (Roots, Whipple or Centrifugal)

Having a pair of 502 Mag's rebuilt and going to add a supercharger not sure witch way to go roots (871), Whipple or Centrifugal. If I go centrifugal it's going to be a Vortech, I like the fact they keep the stock cooling system. I want to make approx. 650 reliable Hp (looking for pro's and cons).

As you debate the pros and cons, take a look at our website, www.rtechperformance.com.

I had VERY poor luck with a whipple kit on a 502 MPI.
Unless they have worked out the bugs, I wouldn't recommend it. I have heard great things about their other kits though.

R-tech does have their act together as it appears to me, worth a very serious look.

Default cooling system mods?

I didn't realize the cooling system needed to be modified for a pro-charger. I'm evaluating systems too... what needs to be changed?
thanks

Basically you remove the water circulating pump, install a cross over and remove the thermostat. If you end up running a thermostat you will have to run some type of dump valve. Wette Vettte has a nice set up, thats what I used on my old boat.
