Hydromotive Propeller Sale

I wanted to clarify and introduce to you all the NEW HUB System for Hydromotive which is shown in the Photo above of the P5-X.
The New Hydromotive Props accept the Interchangable Hubs rather than having the hub welded in. This new style will be more versatile.

Just tested the P5X on my 28 Nordic today. Awesome is all I can say! It turned roughly the same RPM and speed as a labbed 28 Bravo, but the slip numbers went way down at cruise. With a Bravo prop I could not hold a good plane below about 35 MPH. With the P5 it would plane at 25 and you could not blow the prop out at all. I could actually open the throttle wide open coming up on plane and not blow out. With any other prop I've tried you always had to back out of the throttle as it rolled over on plane. A special thanks to Throttle-Up for letting me test the props.

Bob,
What impresses me most about your test results is that the prop you tried is a STOCK Production prop. No work was done to the prop and it is exactly the same prop any customer who orders a P5X would receive.
Thanks for sharing your results and testing the prop for us.

Rick, here are some ballpark numbers from memory. I will do some more testing in the next couple of days. The boat planed at 2300 RPM @ 25 MPH with tabs down. 3000 RPM = 41-42, 3500 =47-48, 4000=57. These are all GPS numbers. I don't have the numbers for the 28 Bravo written down, but it would not cruise below 35 MPH without a tremendous amount of slip.

We have them both.
The Quad IV X OT is available in limited pitches until the end of April but the Quad IV OT is availabe in most all pitches.
These are great props for lighter outboard boats. Give me a call if you have any questions.
