I have a 91 baja 270 and planning on starting the motor this weekend after rebuilding it this winter. My first question is, I will not be able to have the drive back on this weekend and was wondering if it is possible to start the motor using the fresh water hookup? Second question is the fresh water hose connects to a white plastic peice that the hose coming from the drive and goes to the c-pump, my only guess is this peice keeps the water from going back to the drive, or will I have to plug the hose going to the drive? Last question is will the fresh water hookup provide enough water the keep the motor cool while we break the cam in?
Thanks
Thanks

Just connect the garden hose to the raw water pump.
It will work,I have done at least 10 times.
Just make sure the hose is well connected and
the tap is wide open.I use to have a friend standing by and
regulate the water or put the hose back on if it pops off.
Good luck.

the garden hose will work for breakin......just make sure the garden hose doesnt fall out and DO NOT tape the garden hose and seal it shut with the intake hose!!! I did that first time out and it sucked the garden hose FLAT!!!
the c-pump will pull more water then your garden hose can provide so let it suck air...ir wont hurt anything....may run slightly warmer then normal or the needle may bounce arouns but it should be fine.

We've had water supply issues at 2500 rpm during prolonged break-in runs on the garden hose, depending in the water available in the particular area. We've run from a kiddie pool with two garden hoses filling during the runs.

38KV is that a Miami Vice boat in Sweden? Looks nice
but it is the light weight edition with kevlar hull,
notched transom and blower hatches.
It is totally restored exept for the dash,
which I'm doing right now.
And it sure is in Sweden.
BTW, as far as I know one of two 38KV's in Sweden.
Sorry Treatj25, that was way out of topic,
back to the garden hoses!
