We do that as a part of our winterization.We always pull the screens and clean them. I see everyone learned fast about that VST.Good info from you guys.:)

marinetrans, how do you clean the screen? Does it come off of the fuel pump so it can be cleaned? When I had mine apart I didn't see anything on it, but if it blocks that small of particals them maybe they can't be seen that easily.
That O-ring also sucks when you take it apart, so you better have a replacement when you pull the top off.
