ahhh i like the 434 these days... fairly affordable not very tricky to put together and capable of 500+ hp and 500+ ft-lb under 6000 rpm idling at 750 rpm in neutral...
next motor i put together will be of this flavor... right now.. carb to pan less exhaust i'm around $8500 in parts... and that's using components that'll live forever...

that'll live forever, if never started. I have a friend that has a 1071 blower on a 434 small block for sale if you want it, and it is fuel injected. and it has lived forever, he built it about 5years ago and had the motor running and then never finished the car.

most of the guys we drag with have had some trouble with the 434 combo . most are going to the 421 seems to be a better rod ratio.
