Installing Corsa silent Choice
Install a corsa silent choise system into my stock 454 Merc exhaust system as we are laying it out noticing the y pipe and corsa divert pipes are difernt sizes by what looks like a half inch. I tried to connect the two with the standard 4" exhaust boot but it was too big. Is there a boot that will fit this set up? I have been looking online but not having any luck finding anything.
Thanks in advance to all that can help.

You should have 4 inch exhaust from your riser to transom. The "down pipe" on the Corsa system connecting to your Y-Pipe is 3 1/2 inch diameter. It is also oval, not round making it hard to measure. You will need marine exhaust hose without the wire core. This will make it flexible so you can squeeze it to oval to slip onto the Y-Pipe. You can go to your local Rubber & Gasket company and they will have what you need for about $15.00 per foot. Tell them you need stock number 200-3124.

Just an add on to the above. The 3 1/2 hose is really, really hard to get onto the y-pipe and corsa down pipe. The ideal size would be 3 5/8" or 3 6/8". Better yet, is the distance from the bottom of the corsa down pipe and the top of the y-pipe is around 1 inch, you can get the Mercury rubber boot that comes factory installed. Just call your local Mercury dealer or google seach it. Try www.go2marine.com.
