Distributer Problem
I've got a pair of 454's with automotive Accel distributors. I've installed Merc. Thunderbolt ignition but the distributors I have are too long.
The Accels measure 7 5/8" the Merc's measure 8 1/8".
Can I just make a spacer to fit the intake manifold and call it good or do I need to get shorter distributors?

Your Thunderbolt distributors must be the ones made for tall deck blocks.
I should not try to make a spacer.
If you bought the distributors brand new, just return them and get the proper ones.
