Default Xantrex Battery Chargers

I was given a brand new Xantrex 40 amp Truecharge battery charger for Christmas. It looks like a good model, and is capable of charging 3 batteries. Is it safe to mount these on the forward bulkhead in the engine compartment? This would keep the wire runs to the batteries as short as possible. The battery charger wouldn't be on when the engines are running, so I can't see why this would be a problem, and it should not get wet in this location.

Any problems with installing it in this location?

You should be fine as long as it says ignition-protected. I'm almost positive they all are.
