The deck is perhaps the most important part to wax because it is exposed to the sun all the time. Yes, it is slippery (and I'm always the one tying off). Just have to remember that it is and work with it.

Teflon is not needed anywhere on the boat except maybe the bottom, if the boat is left in the water for lengthy periods of time.
