I posted this on one other forum, but hope for a good lead here too. I originally replaced a splintered outside slat on my teak swim platform, refinished the whole assembly and put on two coats of teak oil. It looks great, but the way the teak oil went on makes me wonder how impervious it can possibly be since it will always be wet. Is there anything I can use over the top of the teak oil that's more non-porous and acts similar to polyurethane? Armada? Cetol? Anything?

I used Marine Cetol on a teak platform a few years back. The stuff held up unbelievably well. I did strip all of the teak before application though...

Don't know if it would stick after teak oil.

I used Armada on my Liberator and it worked great and lasted. I did NOT go over the teak oil. I would have to do that three or four times a season (cleaner,brightener,oil). So I cleaned it , brightened it and left it dry for a few days. Then three coats of Armada. Had the boat three more years and it still looked great. My only complaint is on the swim platform it was a little slippery when wet. Careful

The teak I was refering to was also a Liberator. A 1987 211 w/a merc 350.
