Houston prop

To those who have used Houston Prop...How much does it cost to get a Mirage Plus labbed with the
Accelerator package? What are the requirements (present RPM, pitch, and target rpm)?

Thanks
Zack

HOUSTONPROP 04-14-2004 11:09 AM

cost

To lab finish a propeller damaged or not is 80 per blade and additional 33.00 per blade to polish shipping is 20 per prop. This includes The Acclerator design as well the new four blade design Bravo-Rator.

if you call and pre-pay and place your order we pay the shipping back to you .

we are trying to keep at two-week turnaround but with the high volume of props some may be longer,This is the only way we can keep our QUALITY CONTROL up.

you should always carry spare prop ,it's just like a spare tire on a car you never know when you may need it.

Thanks to everyone for your support. Darin

Darin,

Is this something I would have had to ask for or is it something you now do by default on the 4 blades? I think you said my prop was shipping on the 17th?

Thanks Darin...

Larry

Bravo-Rator

I would have mentioned it if I thought this is what you needed.some do and some don't just depends how close you are and what the prop is doing?? blowing out ect.

yours did not need drastic changes. It will be fine .

justinVIP 04-20-2004 11:34 AM

What does the polishing do besides make the blade pretty? Just curious. I guess what I am after, is....what percentage of the performance gain comes from the labbing and what percentage from the polishing? Thanks

So you only had to hit mine with the 8 pound sledge instead of the 15? :D

polishing makes the prop stronger as it closes the scrathes and reduces the chance of stress risers.

% don't knowbut it better.less chance of wiping out the outdrive with a thinner prop than a stock prop that is extremley thick.

Darin, just wanted to let you know the prop arrived today. Dauuuum does it look sweet!!!:D

I must say, I was very surprised. There only seem to be a few hammer marks and all the blades are still there....

Just kidding, of course. I will put the boat in the water tomorrow and let you know how it runs. 68 GPS was the norm last year. Weather looks good, should be a nice light chop. If it runs half as good as it looks I will be stoked!!!

Bravo-Rator

it's new and has worked on quite a few boats.

lets hope for the best on yours.let us know ,also do you have a picture you can post .?? I, keep forgetting to take one of this design.

Bravo-Rator & ACCLERATOR

1 Attachment(s)
Bravo-one, conversion to the BRAVO-RATOR

by Houston Propeller
for a quicker holeshot and cruising speeds with high x dimension's, excellent midrange and top speed gains.with superior Bow and stern lift.

The ACCLERATOR IS ON THE left.
excellent holeshot (no-blow-out) fast setback in midrange accleration with excellent top speed gains of 3 mph and above.

HOUSTONPROP 04-24-2004 02:10 AM

Bravo-Rator

this design has a very aggressive cup on the tip of the blades only, creating slip, as it grabs the water shooting out on plane very quick with no to minimal blow-out,acceleration is awesome with great OVERALL LIFT for increased speeds.

the wood floor is not included.:D
