Thanks everybody.

I found a borescope to try and find it but if not, I'm pulling the engine.

I agree that I would always wonder if it was going to "pop" up.

Ever hear a bb in a vacuum cleaner?.... keeps rattling around but won't get sucked up... that is what I'd be waiting to hear if I didn't pull the pan... This will give you an excuse to clean out the sump and inspect a few things too... good luck.

I certainly understand you concen. But if is did make iits way to the pan I don't see how it could cause any problems from the oil pressure side as you should have a screen on the oil pick-up which should stop. my only concern would be if it is somewhere between the intake and pan were it could get wedge when starting or even more remotely after it is running. IE between the crank and rod. Just my 2c.
