Don't be afraid to use some serious muscle to tighten them once alignment is set, won't hurt a thing

I put some serious hammer torque on mine and then the locking tabs too.

on mine, i always had a problem with the locking tabs backing off, allowing the engine to lower. so instead, i checked the allignment until it was perfect, measured that distance from the bottom of the mount to the lower nut, and removed the lower nut and locking washer and replaced with stainless washers. this way, the engine is resting on a solid surface, with no chance of lowering. properly tightening the top nylon nuts will keep the engine from lifting, therefore staying in perfect allignment.....
