Oil and break in procedure ???'s
I'm getting close to firing up the new 540's for the Tempest. Being as this is my first Offshore project
I'm looking for advice in order to do it Right the
First and Only Time. I try to be smart enough to be
dumb enough to ask questions.... Rather be on the
water than home trying to figure out what I !@#*&ed
up... I know some of this has been hammered to
death but...
What weight oil and what increment oil changes?
Is synthetic that much better?
What RPM "schedule" should I use on break in?
How much water pressure should I have?
What water temps should I strive for?
What spark plugs do you run? (9.0:1)
How much initial and advance timing?
Medium grade fuel or premium?
Start with 750 Dominators or 1050 Dominators?
Any Help IS Appreciated,
Don

WOT for 45 minutes! He might do that but, I'm from Michigan and I have never heard of that procedure. Does he warranty his work?
