New dyno results, after few changes:
487hp@5400rpm
550ft/lbs@3300
Dyno test ran with Stainless Marine manifolds vs.
last year that was run with dyno headers. Other
changes: Crane -731 cam, Air-Gap intake & BG850dp
carb. Engine ran up to 4500rpm within last years
result and took it from there on. Considering exhaust
differences, headers vs. manifolds, I think it must be
10 to 20hp more all the way...?
New engine dynoed on tuesday, and the results are;
445hp@4600rpm - 447hp@5500rpm,
544ft/lbs@3500rpm w/over 500ft/lbs
from 2500rpm-4500rpm,
Very pleased to the results, considering, that cam
is very small; crane´s 278/290 0.529"/0.525".
Dyno run was made w/BG 750dp on RPM Q-jet manifold,
32` total advance at 3750rpm w/24´T-Bolt ignition box.
Question is; should I run w/750, or 850 carb, as it seems
that engine might use some more cfm`s,as the power
stays flat for almost 1000 rpm`s?
750 or 850?[/QUOTE]

Pelle,
Nice work---congrats! For what you have done to your 330(s) you have gotten a pretty decent power gain. You can get more out of the engine(s), but for what you have so far, I certainly wouldn't be disappointed at all. Have fun!

The weber's on 454mags were 750cfm carbs. Not sure on the Q jets.
