Default 3 or 4 blade prop???

on a scarab 302 sport center console with twin 250 Hp Johnsons I am currently running 4 blade "Mach Stern Driver" 14 1/2 X 22 props, what type of difference would 3 blade props make on my boat? what are you running on similar boats? new boat to me so once I have some real #s I will post them,

The 3B props will not hook up as well as the 4B. You would see a difference in your hole shot, it will not be as quick with a 3B. You may also see a difference in the performance. ie: Handling turns at higher speeds etc. But you may see an increase of 1 to 1.5 knots on the top end.

Throttle Up i am running 5200 RPM with the 22s, right where I should be, looking for a better type of prop for the top end, the boat is a bear out of the hole now so I can afford to loose a little

We have worked props on many of the 302 Scarabs. They are fairly popular around here. We have had great results with the Mirage plus on these boats. Typically with Mercury 225's or 250's we see speeds in the low 60's.

There may be some other issues besides props. If you prefer give us a call and we can get more information about your set-up.

I am running twin 1994 johnson Ocean Pro 250s, was thinking of trying Ballistic props as they worked great on my last boat, gained 3 MPH top end and did not loose any holeshot, granted it was a totally different type of boat running a single I/O, what do you think of Ballistics on this hull??
