I have a mod 350 chevy with thru hull exhaust - need to quiet down but do not want to loose too much performance as I am allready at high altitude. Rex powertorque inline silencers that bolt into tips versus Shotgun III. I want to keep the price down and people need to ski any advice????

I had the slip in silencers and went with the Shotguns. This is on a 375horse SBC. I gained 1.5mph (per GPS) switching to the Shotguns. The Shotguns are a little more but no comparison as far a performance.

I have shotguns and they help a lot. They still don't make the exhaust quiet by any means. The insert tips will have a similar results. It will quiet it down, but nothing like a full muffler. The advantage of the shotguns is they are adjustable and there is no power loss. They have spring rods that control how much and at what rpm they open. The more exhaust pressure, the farther they open.

The new full time Rex Powersilencers are now available. They actually replace standard exhaust tips. Meet J2005 standards with no power loss. Tested to 750 hp so far. If you need info, application or fitment please PM or call.
