I'm using a permacool external stat. It's working well and I'm happy with it. That pad mounted one would eliminate the need for the adapter and several lines. I like that even better. Who's is it?

I received an e-mail from an OSO member, who's name eludes me. He suggested the Mocal unit with great success. You can have it tailored to your application, as in temperature operating range.
The Perma-Cool didn't work for me. Oil was still to cold. Many factors could have contributed to that condition. Water temps, water circuit plumbing, etc. There are members who are having great success with the Perma-Cool.

I've got a Keith Eckert and I am seeing high oil temps. I just rebuilt the seawater pump and if that doesnt do it.. I will by pass the stat and see if that helps. I can get my return oil to 260-280.. way too hot.
