MERCATHODE System Components Location

I'm installing new(er) transom assembly's due to severe corrosion damage. I am going to install MERCATHODE system on each drive unit.

Where do the compoenets mount on transom assembly? Doe one of mercathode parts replace the square zink on bottom of assembly next to trim cylinder hose block?

How are wires routed thru assembly and transom?

Wow! I'll be watching for help with this, especially if it's the type that mounts to the trim hose connector manifold at the bottom of the transom yoke. Some pieces are hanging loose on one, and the other side looks like a two-piece "plastic-electric-rubber" concoction that's probably a cathodic system of some sort. Mercruiser manuals do not seem to touch on this much, so it's a little sketchy for me. But hey, at least I ttt.

Hey! Need more info.
Changing my twin TRS boat over to bravos. Boat used to have old mercathode on it. Old control unit (1984) is a big old box looks like a radio amplifier. Old transom senders had wires passing thru the transom. Does the new system pass the wires thru the gimbal plate? Is that what I'm looking at?
So now i will have 4 fewer holes in my transom?
I haven't recieved my new transom assemblies as of yet, but i'm trying to get an idea of what I'm looking at here.
Thanks,
DS

Re: MERCATHODE System Components Location

The new set up has just the two wires that go right through the trim line block. They come out through the transom with the trim lines!

I have the transom mounted sender and the blue electronic Mercathode module listed in the Parts Swap section.
