Houston Prop's Accellerator conversion really improved the holeshot & midrange of my 22' Scarab. My prop originaly was a Mirage plus 25P. My speedo (not gps) is showing 74 at 4800 RPM. the best I got with the Stock Mirage plus was right at 70 (again not gps) I don't have any trouble getting a skier out of the water but then again we ski with the tabs down.

If I was going to ski all the time I would probably reccomend a high-five 21-P because on my old bowrider it was an excelent prop to ski with.

Airshares,

What is your WOT RPm and speed with the 25P Mirage Plus. I beleive to acheive your goals going to a 4B will give the additional "Uumph" you are looking for. That is, if it is improved hole shot, better cruise and improved accleration you want. We can decide on the pitch and propeller make with a little more information.

Vern,

Can you give me some specifics about WOT and RPM ? I believe that there are a few options to acheive your goals!

gwalker,

The Mercury High Five is a great prop for skiing. It will have great accelleration and hole shot!

go with the 24p bravo 1 i had the same boat a few years ago with 25p mirage. When we put the 24 b1 we lost no top end and gained huge bottom end.

just sold my 454 22 Scarab. It would pull your arms off with a 21- 3 blade. I ran it most of the time with a 24 4 blade and it would pull me up with a wakeboard but tough on slalom.I could only get 62 mph with the 21. I would follow HP's Rec and get a 22 4 blade or maybe better all around a 23 4blade.

Julie,

Could you please compare the Bravo I 22" and the High Five in whatever pitch you recommend for my Scarab 22. I am gathering that the Bravo will be better all around, but the High Five will give me a better holeshot.
Thanks much.

Gary,

You are right. The Bravo I would be a great all around prop for running and pulling.
