Cord,

The boat this is replacing had a real blower motor that gave years of trouble free service. This motor is for my parents, my dad likes to go fast, but my mom HATES the blower whine.
Noted on the coolers, it will have them.
No problem on regulating the water psi. I would rather a cool motor than a hot one, specially with the fuel that we have been getting.

I was told that Eagle would be ok, as long as it is balanced and sized..... the price is right.

Regarding the Eagle, I've heard of people doubling their cost in just remachining the part. Makes you wonder if it's even worth it.

Rob,my original 330 made 496 [email protected] over,GM steel crank and rods,je pistons with stock merlin [email protected] to 1 and a 731 cam. Call Raymond, he had a bulldog sittin there last time I was in That would get dad movin. or maybe a nice blue take out poker run motor:O
P.S. you gonna be on the lake next weekend? I will be at Phils place and boatin around Muskoka.

Na, I am going to be at the Montreal F1.

That is what my Dad wants to do, just toss an HP 500 in it. I was looking to build a little more power on a fresh rebuild for less than one of Ray's motors.

I was gonna get Active to assemble it for me.

Sure hope you aren't in a hurry then. When I talked to Mikey last week they were several motors behind schedule. Race car and boat motors comming out the ying yang all waitin on Wayne to build them.Mr Fussypants is just too slow sometimes, dam good but slow Heck, even Mike was back in the shop assemblinb mills.
