leaking fuel bowls???
I just went to change the jets in my secondaries. I have the quick change fuel bowls. I put a towel under the the bowl to catch the fuel and removed the access screws. Almost no fuel came out. The boat has not been started since the Lake Hartwell Poker Run almost two weeks ago. It was also trailered a little over 200 miles back to the house. My question is: will the fuel bowls empty into the carb after they have been sitting for a while? Also, the boat went through the mountains of NC (altitude change) on the way home...
Thanks

Re: leaking fuel bowls???
The bowls will not leak into the carb. The bouncing may have spilled some fuel out of the overflow tubes into the carbs. It will also evaporate over time. I would check the accelirator pump diaphrams, held on with 4 screws at the bottom of the bowl (i am assuming you have Holley carbs) Todays fuels deteriorate the material. If they leak they will drain the bowl.
