It appears that there has been some previous discussion regarding valve spring replacement on 502's, 500HP esp. What is a good aftermarket spring for a 502/415 application? part numbers? Are they as prone to wear as the 500HP's? What else besides the springs should be replaced for maintenance purposes?

My research is two years old, but there the best info. was that Crane built all of merc's cams and springs. Ithink this is the crane part #. Call their tech line - let them know your application lift and that you want the spring with the best "harmonics".
