One drive trims faster than the other ???
I didn't have this problem until i removed the drive in question to replace the gimble bearing. Now when i use the single trim button to trim both drives, the one that i just had off is trimming slower in both going up and down.
I do not see any leaks and i checked the fluid in the pump and it is full. I didn't touch the pump at all. any ideas ?? Would fluid be leaking if the rams are going bad ?? |
Re: One drive trims faster than the other ???
Is it possible air got in somehow??

Re: One drive trims faster than the other ???
Rick, i dont think so. i didn't touch the hydrolic system of the rams, just pulled the drive and reinstalled it when i was done with the gimble bearing and bellows.
What was the problem with Jays rams? where they leaking? how did he know he needed new ones? |

Re: One drive trims faster than the other ???
can you pull up on the drives and get them to move???(PULL HARD)...there is a rebuild kit...but most of the time it just needs a fidy cent o-ring...cake job.

Re: One drive trims faster than the other ???
I'll check tonight. thanks Joe.
Where is the O-ring located if needed to be replaced ? |

Re: One drive trims faster than the other ???
I've heard it sug here to run a heavier gauge wire to the slow one, haven't tried it yet
|
Re: One drive trims faster than the other ???
I've heard that different weight oils will make them trim at a different speed.
