Seems I got some fishing line in my seal this weekend. Found a puddle of drive fluid under my Glastron motor today. Damned if I can't get the prop off though. It hasn't been off in I'd guess 15 years. I've soaked it with penatrating oil and tried to use my gear puller but the claws are too big to get behind the prop. Anyone in West Michigan have a prop puller or something that might work???? Then, how do you replace a prop shaft seal???

Boatstuff, I got it off with a gear puller.... after many tries. I got this boat from my father about 12 years ago or so.... in that time the prop has never been off... nor has it been off as long as I've been using this boat (since the age of 10 or so... so that's about 27 years). I will NOT be putting it back on the way it is, that is for sure! Check out the pic of the fishing line I got off the shaft in the General Discussion area.... could have filled a small fishing reel with it.
