i have a 21' mariah with a 350 mag mpi. it runs about 315 hp but i want more. i looked into a whipple supercharger and its perfect but its also 6000 dollars to expensive anybody have any ideas.

You could tear the engine down and build it up with new heads , cam kit, exhaust manifolds, but the computer will need to be reprogrammed and new injectors will be needed too. Maybe close to what the whipple will cost.

You could drop in a 383 inch engine, have the MPI system modified to work with it. Again the computer, injectors, and exhaust will need to be upgraded.
Cost will be close to same.

Depending on how much HP the engine will have when finished you may need to dump the Alpha drive and change to a Bravo.


Speed costs money.....how fast you want to go?

i already have bravo 1 with lower water pickups and corsa performance exhaust set up do you know where the whipple charger is sold a little cheaper than 6 grand

Have you looked at the ATI Procharger yet. That's what I was looking at for out 350MPI 237 Hurricane Deckboat. That came to aroung 4500 or 5000 grand.
