I considered that 28SS before buying this one last month as a replacement for my 26 Thoroughbred that I stupidly sold. A pal looked at it for me and said it was very nice. Ironically, I've gotten to know it's previous owner, Jason, in N.O.

I really wanted small blocks due to the reduced weight (mine is STILL 7500lbs) and the 1976 that I bought had some nostalgic value since I grew up on Tampa Bay during that time. I'd like to come and see it, and perhaps meet the owner.

Brent, there are some "charts" of Lake T available. Most of the local marine stores have them. Basically a picture book with mile markers, points of interests, and a few hazards.

Cheers, all... ...keep and eye out for me on the lake!

John

Default Bob Lloyd at Full Throttle Marine

As many have already said, contact Bob Lloyd (bobl) at Full Throttle Marine. He is AWESOME!

Oh, just ignore JohnJan. He has been mad since 1972. (J/K John)

I guess I ought to throw in some good words about Bob too. After all, I'm in the DFW area and he's got my boat again, and is currently building a 540 for it! Hey, if i'm going to do something as insane as this, I'm not letting anyone but Bob do it! LOL

I know its not in your backyard, but one of my best friends is a very good mechanic at a Formula Dealer in Dallas. Send me a PM if you get stuck.

Bob at FTM worked on my brothers ski boat. My brother is happy with the work.

Thumbs up Re: Austin, TX Mechanic

Yup, Bob at FTM is the man!
Howdy Bob!!

Bob installed an HP-500 in my little Donzi 22ZX last week.

I'm in heaven!

Also, Bob is very very fair in his pricing.

I'm heading over to FTM in a few minutes to pay for a most excellent job.

Thanks again, Bob!

Hi BajaRunner:

Yup, I am in heaven!!

From 63 GPS on a perfect day (with a 7.4MPI), only me and out of gas, to 74.7 (Bob's GPS) (HP500 carb) on the first try!

There is more speed to be had with this!!

While debugging and cruising at about 50 or so, something passed us going really fast.

Humm, Bob, do you want to tell these people what happened next?
