Default Sonic Cavitation

I have a 28' Sonic. The boat has twin 502's. The props are 3-blade 25P, Mirage's. The boat has a BAD cavitation problem, when coming out of the hole, at more than half throttle, AND in rough water. Any suggestions???

Try a 4 blade prop this should eliminate the problem.

The bravo 1 will solve the problems that you are describing.

Are you running drive showers by chance? The Simrek can cause cavitation if the tube extends through the anti cav plate too much.

I had the same problem with Mirage+'s on my boat. My prop would break loose and I would have to come off plane to get it to hook up again. I Switched to a Bravo 1 and the issue went away.

Are the props Mirage's or Mirage Plus'?

What year is your boat?

Typically if your boat is difficult or impossible to get on plane with three blade props it's time to go to 4 blade props. Typically the overall performance of the boat will greatly improve with the 4 blade props

Did it always do this since you've had it or is it something new? Are you running solid hubs? I had a 23 pitch 3 blade on my baot w/single stock power and it would slip a little out of hole but was fine the rest of the time,i put 50% mor power to it,tried a 27 pitch 3 blade, was super hard to get on plane and slipped almost identical to what your describing, solved problem w/4 blade.
