Default Help Choose Engine Upgrades

Option 1...R&R engines, port heads, install oversize valves, larger cam, Edelbrock inatke and Holley marine carb, Stainless Marine exhaust

Option 2...is exactly the same as #1 except the intake and carb is replaced with an aftermarket EFI system with 1100 CFM throttle body, 42 lb. injectors, FAST ECU with wide band 02 sensor

Option 3....Whipple install complete. Adding transom mount water pickup for intercooler and adding a large oil cooler

Which offers a good mix of reliability and speed to my 350 mags?

What outdrive is behind these 350 mags? If you have the ALPHA you are going to be limited.

Hammer
you didnt say what engine but if it is 350s consider a 383 stroker its just as simple you can use most of your existing parts and it has to be the least expensive way to go . I just finished water testing a customers boat yesterday that had sbc 350s and we upgraded to 383s they made with his heads 403 and 405 hp with 440ft lbs of torque the idle at 800 rpms and we ran on 87 octane he stated the boat had never had that throtle response and he could never maintain the cruising speed before like yesterday. You can buy these parts fairly inexpensively and the extra torque is always welcomed.Sincerely Laz Mesa www.mesabalancing.com
