Default drive alignment problem

I have an 1985 302 Formula with King Cobra drives. My problem is, after coming up on plane, the boat with both tabs in any even position will lean to the right and if I let go of the wheel it will want to steer its self left. There is no visible distortion of the hull and the strakes run straight. I have measured the trim tabs and they move the same up and down with the same speed and indication. I don't have drive angle indicators and when I play with them it doesn't make any difference anyway. I don't have a tie bar or know of where to attach one. Do I start with drive toe in or out.

Do you have counter-rotating propellers? Two right hand turning props will cause the boat to heel to port and vice-versa.
Also, do both props match each other?

Seems like a tie bar would help you. If you know what the center line of the crankshafts are then you can measure your prop shafts and make sure that they are the same. One drive may be straight while the other is not. The tie bar with the correct setting will fix that.
