Nope, they are custom built 800SC's, 795 HP on the dyno to be exact.

Keep the blowers!!! Hyd. roller cams are hard to beat, but DYNO your engines and prop to the results, this is where you get efficiency. By the way the merc 800's had flat tappet cam with 2 700 holley carbs and were only to be run at 5200rpms. You do not need big carbs with low rpms and low boost. Hope this helps.

Well, I've decided to keep the blowers... Took both motors out today to see what's going on. The first change is to scrap the solid flat tapped cam and go to a hyd. roller or hyd. flat tappet cam.

I'll keep ya posted when we get further.
