I would suggest looking here on OSO in the classifieds the fact that you have to be atleast a platnium member keeps the rifraf out(scam artists wont pay the 50 bucks) you can also continue searching on Ebay until you find someone who will use escrow.com. Shipping from Italy doesnt cost 12,000 dollars either I am a heavy Euipment mechanic and I have next Aired a 6000 pound track assembaly from England for 4,000 dollars and there was no "customs charges" the freight company includes them with the shipping charges.

Oh and about the 454, I have a 7.4 MPI that needs to have one cylinder sleeved that I'd part with for a whole lot less. Heads need new exhaust valves (it lost one in that cylinder ) but lots of work went into them. 264 HR cam and if you want the MPI w/ECU, it's got HP500 injectors and it's yours too. Some assembly required.

The guu claimed he was from england and that the engine was in england...at least with me.

On second thought, this motor must be something special. It's made it from Vegas to Italy and now to England in less than a wee , and it's not even in a boat.

It amazes me how dumb people are. You would have to be F_ckin out of your mind to send this scam artist your money. How could you send $16,000 to another county. Man some people are just plain stupid.

Sorry I seemed so harsh but it just blows my mind that there are people that would fall for such an obvious scam. Also if you add up $4500 plus the $12,000 for shipping I am sure you can find a motor brand new from a reputable engine builder that will produce more than 500 horse power.

I know exactly what you mean and it steams me to even see those ads. Then it's hard to believe someone would fall for something so lame but they must or why would these buttholes keep trying?

I would think you could ship one there for $400-600 or so,, a few yrs ago my friends from Germany shipped motorcyles home for $600 each. Then you have the same resources and prices as we do. Lots of posts here for rebuilt or new motors. Heck, get the Visa out and buy from one of the GM(discount) dealers and get a new longblock whatever,,502,572?!?! Find a "Hotrod" mag and start calling.Good luck. I will be in Italy next June with the wife on her business trip,,hope to see some nice seashores then,and some GREAT food!!
