Mufflers
I'm going to need to silence my Whippled HP500EFI down to 86db by next season. I've been looking at the Livorsi tips. Anyone have any experience with these? I'm open to any recommendations that will get me to 86db without a power loss and maybe still give me a little of that great noise.
Help.

Re: Mufflers
I would go with the GGB's. I am very happy with my Teagues but now most lakes are saying no switchable.....

Re: Mufflers
hide the switch
you see them coming flip it
I actually run two switches. One disables the true one even if they find it.
Story would be [if they ever find it] that it used to be for the silent choice that has been removed. Just did not want bare wires sitting there so switch stayed.

Re: Mufflers
Audio,
Thanks for the info on GGB. I checked their site and it looks as though they have a great transom mount tip that reduces the db's alot with very little loss of power. They have the dyno results there also which shows little or no loss of power. Impressive, thanks again.

Re: Mufflers
I bought the GGB inserts for my Stellings exhaust. For slip ins that can be easily remove they work great. very minimal loss. The noise reduction is not quite as good as my friends boat that has the clamp on GGBs but for the price they will do. I would definitly give the GGB tips a shot.

Re: Mufflers
I hear a lot of good results with the GGB's but I also hear a lot of guys who swear by the HPI's. HPI seems to be a true straight thru design and on paper would seem to work better?? Refering to the bolt on transom mount in both cases(not the clamp on's). I'm getting ready to buy some transom mufflers. Any thoughts on GGB vs HPI ???
