KPM now have run dry pumps for the Yanmars , currently being used by the military.More flow than the original and more robust.

They use a 1.13 on the 42.
MTI and WCM put together a Diesel 39. 440's, ASD8 and TD tranni's.

We are ordering a tunnel flap for it but she runs 93+ right now without turning them up!!!

FYI: My father around 9 years back went to japan to do development work on the 440's they had a Alum. 47 cougar with 4 x 440's only they were no longer 440, but they had those babies putting out 630 ponnies.
I tried to buy the engines but yanmar destroyed all but one so nobody got ahold of them!!!
We did the first 42 with reggie, we had the engines making a true 510hp and ran 680 hrs on them. Of course with the TD tranni's
I race a 42 in P3 class SBI, the boat is a pleasure hull. It planes in 5.5 secs. And will pull 4-5 boat lenghts on 500 EFI 42 from 40 to 70 MPH
It has a Top speed of 88 MPH.
ZF are good but I think the 2 speed is a pain, and you got to shift perfectly every time or the tranni's wont last 10 mins..
I make a custom Air ventilation to prop, with a shut and it is just like a two speed but without the shifting!!!
I will give you more info if you want PM me and I will let you know!!

But whatever you go with Im sure you will love the engines!!!!!

I will send you some photos below of the Custom stuff we do!!
What does WCM stand for. What is the difference between the zf-312 and the twin disk tranny. Thanks Jeff

This was a good thread, any more developments anyone. Thanks Jeff

Any engine tuning on the 480's yet..... I also was told that if a butterfly valve, like a silent exhaust was put in the vent tubes, that once on plane the boat would accelerate 3 times harder. Jeff
