Re: Identify This Carb???

from the looks of the original height of the choke horn and that it has 4 corner idle I would have to say it was a 850 with a list # 4781-4 or higher. it does not look like a 830 because of the boosters and the linkage.

Re: Identify This Carb???

If it has 172 stamped on the primary butterflies, and 173 stamped on the secondary butterflies it is not a 4781 850. 850 carburetors have 1-3/4" Butterflies. 1-3/4" butterflies have 180 stamped on them. It is most likely a 750 carburetor. If you measure the center of the venturi with a pair of calipers around the booster I can tell you specifically.

It is a Holley 750 Double Pumper 4779 that has aparently been outfitted with Annular boosters. It is not however not a marine carb.

Why go with annular boosters?

thanks

Substack I use to use them and I really had to jet up. I felt an improvement but at the time I was only using a 650 CFM carb. This is much better than milling the choke shroud.
