Anyone ever try thinner head gaskets on non-blown engines. You can increase compression by taking off 20-30 thousands by using thinner stainless gaskets. Easier than shaving the heads, and you can switch back. You need perfect head and block machining I would think.

Preformance Gaskets out if Wisconsin, Owner is Bob Eineichner. Phone # 1-262-677-4690.
Use his gaskets, they have been tested beyond belief. A major player in marine motors along with 90% of the east coast guys use his products. Look for Bob and I at Keywest starting on Thursday. Any questions on the products we will be more than happy to help you. We will be hanging with the Mercury guys.

Little Tommy.

Re: head gaskets, which ones??

Actually, usually a head gasket failure is due to debtination. Therefore you have more of a tuning problem then anything.
