Here The heads are together bolted up.With using the Metal layer Fel Pro head gaskets I tried to make the head and block surface as clean and lint free as I could .The head gaskets have that soft rubber feeling stuff on them that attract any kind of stuff, It even shows finger prints in it .
Here I ck the rocker arm geometry with the new crane lifters,cam, and machining I figured it would be off. It was dead on in the center . ya can see the contact patch.

I bought all new Crane Rockers also. Ck this out,Crane changed up the rocker from the stock 2001 500EFI to 2005. Looks a little different . They allready have the corners radiused

Note!! In the box on the new Crane rockers it said ck the treads on the polly lock for burs.It said if there is a tight spot in the ajusting nut to run a tap thru the thread in them . There was a lot of them that needed retapping

The tappets are alittle different also. The oil hole on the side and the plunger. Both are Cranes
