Thanks ,Sounds like ya have some strong motors, keep us posted how it does, good luck on the drives

I figure one day il upgarde to the Alum heads,my thinking is to make the same power and not have as much boost, make it easyier on the blower and motor,Im pretty much at the limit of the hull and drives allready.

Default Great Thread

Like the title says. Great thread. I have been researching for a power upgrade for my Donzi and the Whipple chargers are at the top of my list. Your post has given me a good deal of info on what to expext/look for. You have helped me decide which direction to go. Keep up the great thread.

Default Great job, exceptional detail !!

I just found this thread this am, I wish I had ran across it sooner as I have just got my 500 EFI long blocks back together. I hope I remembered thos O-rings that go under the rear main caps? Thinking about Whippling next fall but kooking at th dyno results I'd better get a couple spare XR's.

xr style with the long nose,I had the old style and it held up fine.Even on my old 1989 Scarab with 828hp it never spun a hub.

What ive seen is miss alignment cause it to sling rubber, but never spun, also I didn't lube one enough or often one season and it wore the hub splines sharp.

Ive seen on my Hustler when you line up the motor get it all just right, then turn the motor over 1/2 turn it will change,

Hope this helps

Rob
