I have Drew marine shotgun "quasi" mufflers on it so at 650 rpm they are fairly quiet, (no noise tix),from 655rpm to wide open they sound great, you would be hard pressed to tell the difference between a stock big block. For the money I spent the exhaust really works well and sounds good, the GLM manifolds are less than $150 each. I wanted cast iron since I'm in the ocean a lot, and I bought all four risers from an OSO member for around a grand. For this horsepower level I could not see spending $2500-3000 per side.
I think 70 is within reach at 375 hp in your Apache
bigboat -yes I've been internet shopping for a while now...

AMT built a 28 or 30 foot cat that had PCM 6.0's in it. It was tested by PowerBoat Mag. a couple of years ago. I believe they were impressed with it. I was in the Lake Cumberland Poker Run and ran well. PCM is a good company with reliability at or better than Merc. I have had multiple ski boats with their motors with hard use no problems. Lots of ski boat dealers can service them. I would look into necessary wiring/rigging changes before I would pull the trigger. Give Discount Inboard Marine in Chapin SC a call they are dealers, know their stuff and sell cheap. I will say again their 343 is much simpler, has gobs of torque, is cheaper, available with closed cooling, and will yield the same actual performance. Check on available exhaust.
