I was going to sugest the same thing about the SmartCraft. I have a friend who just bought a new Velocity with the 525 and SmartCraft. There is alot of information there.
It gives him the fuel usage and how much fuel is burned and how much is left.
It is an add on system even if you did not order it with the boat. I would buy this before going to flo-scan I believe

Hay Steve,
The Smartcraft unit is not very accurate (I have been told) due to the fact that its readings are taken from the injector inpulsed and not from a sender in the fuel line.
The fuel sender in the fuel line will give you the amount of fuel being used by the engine at any RPM and given load. Does anyone have a used one for sale, looking for one to fit a 2 inch hole in my dash. Thanks

I have never used them, but only going by what I have seen in the one boat, and it has been very accurate. I would say on an 80 gallon tank it was within 2 to 3 gallons of being on the money at fill-up
I really have no experience on fuel metering, but only by the hour. I would also like so more info on the subject.

I bought the Navman, but never got to install it.
It needs to be put in after the fuel filter, but the line is SS from the filter to the block, so how do i get it in there w/o adding a 2nd filter?
Yes, and its 35gph max reading, but w/ my 454mag 365hp, I won't be running more than 35gph for any extended period of time.

The Faria--like most of the offerings won't work with EFI engines that return fuel to the fuel tank as part of the system..seems like only Floscan will work if your fuel system has return line !!
