If they don't want to budge warm the engine up good first then try some PB Blast and a heat gun.

Ive had some petcocks that wouldn't budge but I have always been able to get them out of the block. And a couple days of PB Blast will loosen almost anything.

Instead of removing the brass plugs to drain the blocks, why couldn't you remove one of the hoses to the thermastat that runs to the block and stick a small hose down that to suck out the water?
Like in this picture the hose above the drain plug connecting to the thermastat? |

Gripit: The stakes of not properly winterizing are high. If you are not familar with doing it yourself, maybe someone here, who lives near you, can offer help.
On my boat, getting to the drain plugs is almost impossible without having two elbows in your 5' long arm. But, I do it every year anyway. It's that important. Also, don't forget any in-line oil or fluid coolers. |

Thanks Penetrating oil if necessary. Remove entire fitting from block if necessary. New ones are at the boating store. Drain block from both sides. Shove small screwdriver up into hole gently to breach the "crud plugs." Reinstall brass plugs. Fill block with antifreeze using the "up the drive intake" method or the "down the intake manifold"method. |
