Question valve cover gaskets

Whats everyones take on valve cover gaskets? Cork or rubber?

I second that!! The Moroso rubber gaskets are awesome! Stock gaskets on Merc motors are very good as well! I prefer rubber over cork.

Rubber over metal, nothin else lasts, and they don't leak.

I think I had the Moroso gaskets a few years ago,,,,,, they were blue rubber with metal in the middle. After about 1 season the rubber split open, I tried using rtv to get by, I said F#$K it and switched back to cork. Never had any oil leak problems since..

Rubber over metal! They are black and not Moroso and I've had them for several years, on several sets of heads, and NEVER had a leak. --- JP

Stock GM/MERC rubber over steel gaskets are great.
