K&N Filter for a 496/HO ???
#31
Rick,
I bought my K&N from Rex Marine. I'm not going to install it until I can gather some baseline numbers for reference. Then after it's installed I will be able to compare. Sure is a nice couple of days here. Very tempted to put it in the water. My better judjement is telling me to wait till spring. I don't know if I can last....

John, you definately want some base numbers and only after you've logged some time in it to ensure you're maximizing what the boat will do stock. Then, under similar atmospheric conditions i.e. ambient temp, water temp, humidity etc. and boat load configuration, swap the filter and run it. In fact use that eval sheet I made up and sent out. Let me know if you didn't get that. Also, bounce those numbers off what Bill got in his 280 under both conditions...
BTW, SPLASH IT!!!....
