Fuel Injection on my Gen. VI 454 HO's
Bought my '84 Scarab S-Type Kaama with two Chevy Gen. VI 454 HO (2001, P/N 12568774). The pre-owner has installed hydr. roller cams of the ZZ 502 (P/N 12366542, lift: .527" In., .544" Exh., Duration @ .050": 224° In., 234° Exh.).
Now I want to convert to AFR 305cc BBC w/ CNC chamber option heads (this is the suggestion from Dave / AFR) and to ACCEL Gen. VII DFI Super-RAM (P/N 77102). Also I want to install a fresh water cooling system because of the salt-water usage of the car-engines.
What do you think about this, does someone have better ideas or experience? Does ACCEL deliver a marine version of the DFI Super-RAM (they don't answer my mail) or should I buy an other EFI? Where should I buy these parts?

We may not be really sure what you are asking. The switch to the AFR aluminum heads in salt should be OK as long as you have specified "anodized". Cast iron is acceptable in salt for quite a while if properly maintained. All G.M. BBC's started life on the drawing board as "car engines". --- JP

Talk to AZ. Speed and Marine. Their EFI will support at least 600 HP. This is the same system used on Merc HP525.
