The head guy (no pun intended) is Carl Foltz. His company is CFE. Not sure if he will do cast iron any more, as everything is CNC therse days. As far as I know, he does the heads for Sterling engines. You would have to check around to see how his pricing is, but I have found his work to be well worth it. If interested send me an Email and I will find his number for you.

Advanced Airflow Engineering (586)294-7915
Talk to Ron, he does the cylinder head and
camshaft development for Joey Griffin
(Pier 57) and also does some work for CFE.
CFE is also a good choice but like someone
else said , I don't think he is into iron heads anymore

Here's a question,

Is it more cost-effective to rebuild your heads and adding larger valves and such or just but a complete Dart or Merlin set?

It all depends on what your trying to do.
If your trying to add a little more HP to your existing combination , keep what you have and port it ,add bigger valves..etc. Providing you have something decent to begin with.
If your building a new combination or what to add major HP then it is better to start new or buy something that has already been ported.
I've got a set of iron oval port Merlins that were originally done by Sterling/CFE , I could never afford that , I ended up buying them used from Advanced Airflow, I also had
Ron due some more work to them and had an intake done. Sure they were a little more
than a out of the box Dart but I guarantee they work better.
