It's a '97 Baja Boss 272, 502mag w/m3sc Pro charger and a L&S stern jack. It ran 82mph GPS before last summer. I freshened the engine last winter and added lightning headers redid some of the fuel and oiling system plumbing and had my 30p prop "bravorated" . I thoughtI would pick up some speed but I ended up losing 3mph! I've got it narrowed down to the prop so I guess i'll start with that this year. Can this boat be improved by altering the X dim? I don't even know what the measurement is on this boat.

Oh yeah, I did replace the drive gears w/the newer "thicker" gears. The old ones kept flexing and cracking thrust washers. I was lucky they did'nt explode.With the 30p bravo it turned 4900 rpm by my tach. With the prop bravorated it turned 5100 but slowed down on top end by 3mph.I'm fairly certain the tach is off 200rpm.

Kenny thats some good speeds . I like the new color on the engine ,brightens it up.Maybe Mark can help ya out some .
