I think aljolyn describes it pretty good above. More of the tab contacts the water sooner. The Fountain above has the tabs like that. I've seen Velocities like that too. I think Superboat is doing it too on the '30.

series top of the line in the box also have 4 stainless steel hoses with instructions
they list for $4375.00 dealer cost is $2700.00 Iam asking $2500.00

Yup, my 41 Velocity has the tabs mounted that way.
