What to spray on engine for corrosion?
I'm getting slight corrosion (surface rust, galvanic dust) in the little nooks/crannies on my engine. Is there a spray I can use to coat the engine between uses that won't smell/smoke when reaching operating temp? CRC? WD-40?
Thanks in advance, D. Ocean Pompano Beach, FLA |

The WD in WD40 stands for water displacing.

I have used WD-40 and it works fine. It also makes the motor purdy :)

wd 40 will evaporate. If you can get it where your at, try RUSTCHECK its used on aircraft.

boeshield is good **** they sell it at west marine

Re: What to spray on engine for corrosion?
I've never been real comfortable spraying the above products on my pretty blue engine paint. I just hose them down with pure aerosol silicone spray every couple of weeks. It burns off and evaporates relativly quickly, but leaves no residue thus far.
