Default What to spray on engine for corrosion?

I'm getting slight corrosion (surface rust, galvanic dust) in the little nooks/crannies on my engine. Is there a spray I can use to coat the engine between uses that won't smell/smoke when reaching operating temp? CRC? WD-40?

Thanks in advance,

D. Ocean

The WD in WD40 stands for water displacing.

I have used WD-40 and it works fine. It also makes the motor purdy

wd 40 will evaporate. If you can get it where your at, try RUSTCHECK its used on aircraft.

I've never been real comfortable spraying the above products on my pretty blue engine paint. I just hose them down with pure aerosol silicone spray every couple of weeks. It burns off and evaporates relativly quickly, but leaves no residue thus far.

I like Boeshield too ... although it's it the upper end.. pricewise.. of these types of sprays.

Bottom line ... almost anythings better than nothing in a salt environment .
